About me and my therapy practice
I am a qualified BACP registered counsellor and psychotherapist and and graduate member of the BPS. Above all I prioritise building a genuine and authentic therapeutic relationship which provides the safety to explore the thoughts and feelings held in your inner world. I have a BAHons in Fine Art and I'm interested in all creative thoughts and processes.
Practice description
My practice is grounded in psychodynamic theory which considers how we learn to be a person in the world, our attachment, our relationships and how they informed how we feel, or don't feel, about ourselves. Working hard to make sense of our experiences can leave us feeling flat and without a sense of possibility, I believe that the therapeutic relationship can open up a space for change. In our sessions we would work collaboratively to explore feelings and find words to express your inner experience, open up a new perspective and a sense of possibility.
My first session
The initial assessment session is a chance to meet each other in my practice room in Edinburgh city centre. This session can help us to understand what it is that has brought you to therapy and what you hope to get from our work together.
