About me and my therapy practice
You may have found yourself searching for a therapist because you feel stuck due to a particular life event, or perhaps you have been struggling with longer term difficulties such as depression or anxiety. Alternatively, it may be that relationships have become challenging and you would like help to navigate through the emotional pain that you are feeling.
I practice counselling and psychotherapy in discreet and comfortable consulting rooms in Enfield, and also online. Whatever your struggle is, I can help to unravel difficult thoughts and feelings with the aim of promoting change.
My approach is non-judgemental, safe and confidential; a space to talk through what's on your mind and gain understanding and perspective. You can be assured that I will be sensitive to your needs and go at a pace that suits you.
The psychodynamic approach that I use has a proven track record of being effective for any number of issues; there is a huge evidence base to support it as an intervention. We will review the work regularly to make sure that you are happy with the progress.
In my practice I offer both time limited and open ended therapy. In an initial appointment there will be an opportunity to explore if either of these options are right for you.
I value individual difference and feel that everyone has the potential for growth and change. I will help you to look at how the past may have shaped the present, making sense of your difficulties and gently challenging you when the time is right. I have helped many people, ranging from the young to the old, to improve their emotional wellbeing and achieve a more fulfilling life.
Practice description
I practice from The Therapy Rooms, centrally located in Enfield Town - please take a look at my website for more details. I also work online using Zoom or the telephone. This can be a convenient way of accessing therapy for those on a busy schedule or who prefer the comfort of their own home. Sessions last for 50 minutes
My first session
The best way to contact me initially is by email or text. I will then contact you to discuss availability and answer any questions you may have. If you decide to go ahead, our first meeting will be an assessment - this allows us a chance to get to know each other a bit better and for you to decide whether the therapy I offer is right for you. Sessions last for 50 minutes and are £60 per session. I am an accredited member of the BPC (British Psychoanalytic Council) and a registered member of the BACP.
