About me and my therapy practice
Providing empathy, understanding and confidentiality I hope we can build a relationship with trust that will enable you to feel comfortable to express your needs. I like to work with my clients in a collaborative way to ensure they are getting what they want from their sessions. I look forward to working alongside you with whatever you bring.
Although my core modality or way of working is predominantly Person-centred, I also integrate other methods and theories depending on what you need or what you find helpful. For example, some find that a more goal focused approach is beneficial or that they like to have some CBT worksheets to reflect on. Ultimately the sessions are led by your agenda.
Looking for the right therapist for you can feel confusing and daunting. Please feel free to contact me to chat more about what I can offer you and what your expectations are around counselling. It may be that you are not sure what you want but know that now is the time to find out. Any questions you have are welcome when you are ready.

Practice description
I started my academic career studying social sciences at college and then moved on to study Criminology and Psychology at Brighton University. It was here that I realised that rather than assessing clients I wanted to be part of the therapeutic process. I started studying counselling at Level one and continued through to Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling, becoming fully qualified. I have been practicing for three years now and also volunteer as a counsellor in Brighton gaining a wide range of experience.
Working ethically
I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and therefore abide by their code of ethics while working. This is key to my practice and something I am very much open to discussing throughout our sessions.
Continued Study
I am always looking to learn more and improve my skills. I have completed further studies (CPDs) on Anger management, bereavement, addiction and working with dreams. I continue to study areas to improve my practice.
My first session
This first session is a chance for you to tell me a little bit more about what is going on for you right now, what your expectations of counselling are and what you hope to gain from our sessions. We may also use this time to go over the counselling contract and answer any questions you have. The most important part of counselling is the relationship, so we need to be sure you feel comfortable going forward and I feel I am working within my limits of ability. This session is at a reduced price of £30,
