About me and my therapy practice
My name is Simon Lyons, and I am a qualified person-centred counsellor with the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists.
My aim is to facilitate you to a safer and more confident version of yourself, to feel lighter and happier again and for you to have greater self-awareness and acquire the skills in which to manage life.
My speciality is Person Centred Therapy, the core purpose of this reflective process is to create a safe space for you to discuss and understand the issues you're facing presently and to work out a way forward developing your coping skills ongoing.
As well as being a qualified counsellor, I am also fully qualified in the experience of many of the challenges and traumas that life can bring. I can attest to the anxieties that lead us to being stuck or lost in a bad place and, as a result I can offer genuine empathy and understanding, knowing that things can change for the better.
So, if you need a quiet, calm and safe space to voice your anxieties, stresses or even just somewhere for clearer reflection then I provide a tranquil and therapeutic environment in which to bring your inner voice.
Practice description
More than ever life is fast, aggressive, complex and tiring and it is too easy to find yourself snared in a difficult place and unable to find a way out whatever the issue is.
In times of stress and anxiety we can become disconnected from our ability to find solutions, think clearly or cope and, as a result, our confidence and self esteem can be badly impaired. These are the times where we need the right support to be able to access our instinctive wisdom and regain the confidence to move forward.
The structure of person centred therapy is about empowering you to develop the tools, skills and resources required to effect the positive change needed in your life. Having a safe place to vocalise, reflect and then clearly see what is needed ensures that this therapeutic process can highly beneficial for personal growth and wellbeing... for you to feel lighter and happier again!
