About me and my therapy practice
Are you feeling overwhelmed by anxiety and worry? Anxiety can look like:
- Constant overthinking - worrying about what others think or what might happen to you
- Physical sensations - anxiety isn’t just in your mind - you can experience racing heart, tightness in chest, lightheadedness, nausea and a whole range of distressing physical symptoms
- Feeling on edge as if something big is about to happen
You might have tried avoiding situations to get short term relief but now feel overwhelmed and out of control because everything is piling up and the problems are getting bigger and bigger.
Your friends and family might be telling you to stop worrying (if you could you would) and now you fear talking about how big a problem it’s become because they don’t understand and you feel a burden.
But there is good news!. There are effective tools to manage anxiety and regain control over your life.
I understand anxiety because I've helped many people overcome it Let me help you too.
Some forms of anxiety I work with often are
- Social anxiety
- Generalised anxiety disorder
- Health anxiety
- Menopause anxiety
- Work stress
- Overwhelm and burnout
If you choose to work with me then I promise to support, listen and gently guide you through the process. I will gently challenge some of your unhelpful thinking patterns and beliefs and support you to set goals that fit with your values.
Overcoming anxiety can look like
- Being able to make decisions with confidence
- Sleeping well and waking up refreshed and ready to take on the day
- Finally going for that goal such as a promotion or taking a new course
- Feeling comfortable and in control in social situations
- Being able to live in the moment and enjoy your life
I understand it’s hard to reach out for help and I promise to be supportive and to make the process as easy as possible for you

Practice description
We'll work together to develop a session plan that fits your needs and schedule. Sessions are typically weekly at first, but we can adjust as needed. Together, we'll regularly review your progress and adjust the plan to ensure you're getting the most out of our sessions.
As an integrative counsellor, I draw from various techniques to best suit your goals and preferences. For example:
- CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) provides practical tools to manage anxiety and understand how thoughts influence emotions.
- Person-centered therapy can help you explore your past experiences and develop healthier ways of relating to yourself and others.
- Hypnotherapy can be used to address unhelpful patterns and create positive change.
There is no minimum or maximum number of sessions you need to sign up to - I work flexibly with you for as long as it's helpful for you.
