About me and my therapy practice
I am a psychodynamic counsellor and BACP registered member, currently working in both Ayr and Glasgow (G46).
Psychodynamic counselling is guided by the belief that our past experiences and relationships influence our current feelings, behaviours and connections to others. A safe and dedicated space to explore these links can help to make sense of any struggles and allow a clearer path forwards to emerge.
I have a particular interest in supporting anyone affected by trauma and loss, but there are no pre-requisites to coming to counselling and no topics are off-limits. Therapy with me will always be at your pace. It’s an opportunity for you to tell your story and to gently explore the chapters of your life.
“We set out in the darkness of night with a blanket and a lantern in search of others like us. Along the way we usually find someone or something and it is with that discovery that we can walk this road with understanding company. And with that, we watch the sun begin to rise over our worlds again.”
My practice name Lantern in the woods was inspired by the above quote. Please reach out if you think I could be that ‘someone’ for you.
