About me and my therapy practice

I am a qualified Psychotherapeutic Counsellor working with both individuals and couples. I offer an integrative and relational model of counselling and psychotherapy. I will be present with you in the room, holding a safe and empathic space for you to share. When helpful, I will also ask questions to support your exploration and offer my thoughts and feedback too.

I am a member of the BACP and I hold a Post-Graduate Diploma in TA Psychotherapeutic Counselling from the Metanoia Institute in London.

For the past 12 years I have worked in various mental health and counselling roles including at a community counselling centre, LGBTQ+ therapeutic services, a drama university, a science and engineering university, adult mental community health services, secondary schools, and support for asylum seekers and refugees.

Practice description

Relationships hold the potential to bring joy into our lives. They can also be deeply complex. It is common for us to all to have elements of our relationships that feel natural and aligned, and other parts that feel painful or difficult. I specialise in supporting individuals and couples understand the way they relate with themselves, with each other, with others around them, and with the wider world.

I work in a way that is empathic and non-judgmental. As you bring your thoughts and feelings I will hold space for them, ask questions that might help us learn more, and offer reflections. Together we can make meaning of your experiences, and even consider unconscious patterns that might be occurring. At times, I will also offer gentle challenge when this might be helpful for growth or change. All whilst holding in mind your life context and your identity. In time, the therapy can help you feel more connected with yourself and the people in your life.

During our sessions, we can discuss any relational challenges you are facing as well as any topics that are important to you. These might include: your family, culture, identity, friendships, intimate relationships, sexuality, LGBTQ+ identity, shame, spirituality, abuse, loss, trauma, anger, anxiety, depression, stress, life decisions, and more.
