I offer face-to-face and online psychotherapy. My current clinical hours are from 8am to 3pm on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at the Clapham Junction practice. Please note, I do not offer evening appointments.
About me and my therapy practice
I am an MSc-trained psychodynamic psychotherapist and counsellor, specialising in early adulthood (18 to 40). I offer a safe, confidential, and supportive space to help you cope with a wide variety of emotional difficulties.
I currently work in private practice, having previously held a full-time position with the NHS. Prior to that, I was a psychotherapist at the student counselling services of the University College London.
I can provide support for a range of issues, including depression, anxiety, suicidal ideation, self-harm, bereavement, traumatic experiences, relationship difficulties, gender & sexuality, abuse, pregnancy difficulties, identity issues, performance anxiety and career uncertainty. Whatever the issue might be, I’m here to help.
Sometimes you might start therapy without a clear idea of what’s wrong, but might have a sense that things are not quite right. You might also be looking for more confidence and self-awareness. My role is to guide you by providing a safe and confidential space, in a gentle and non-judgemental way.
Practice description
What are the benefits of psychodynamic psychotherapy?
Psychodynamic psychotherapy is a deeper form of talking therapy, based on the reflective thinking process. We will focus on how you are experiencing the world, and how this might be influenced by your past, present, and unconscious thought patterns. Together, we will explore your life experiences, and how they shape your behaviour, emotional state, and sense of self.
This reflective process can bring about positive changes, such as: improved self-awareness, a greater sense of purpose, increased confidence, and better relationships with family, friends, and peers. Our therapy will be a confidential thinking space, where together, we can make sense of your own personal journey in life.
My first session
If you are interested in starting therapy, we will schedule a 50-minute consultation. During this session, we will take the time to explore your personal situation, past experiences, needs, and difficulties.
If we determine that psychotherapy is the appropriate treatment for you, we can arrange a specific day and time each week for your regular sessions. I offer both long-term and time-limited therapy options. However, if we find that psychotherapy may not be the best fit for you at this time, we can explore alternative therapies or routes to support you.
The cost of a single session is £75. If you would like to have a 15-minute phone conversation, we can arrange that free of charge.
