About me and my therapy practice
**Counselling for anyone affected by Cancer in the UK ** Zoom, Telephone
Cancer feels overwhelming. Whether you have cancer, or you are a loved one of someone with cancer, you are likely to be experiencing difficult and painful feelings, thoughts and emotions.
You may be angry, sad, scared or anxious. Maybe you are experiencing difficulties in your personal relationships or work life.
It can be a relief to talk to someone else, especially if you feel that you cannot share how you are feeling with friends or family. I will treat you with dignity and respect as you process what has happened to you and the challenges you face. By caring for your mental well-being, your quality of life, despite cancer, can improve as will your ability to cope with everyday life.
I am a qualified person-centred counsellor who is passionate about improving the quality of life for people affected by cancer. Person centred means that my role as counsellor is not to give you advice as I believe you know yourself better than anyone else. I will provide a safe, non-judgmental, empathetic space for you to openly and honestly explore your feelings, thoughts and emotions.
I have also been a person affected by cancer and work as a counsellor for Macmillan. I am able to bring this personal and professional experience and understanding to working with my clients in the following areas:
• Diagnosis
• Treatment
• Life after cancer
• Terminal Illness
• Bereavement
Practice description
**Counselling for anyone affected by Cancer in the UK ** Zoom or Telephone
I offer weekly one-hour sessions which cost £55. I am able to offer daytime and evening sessions.
Zoom/Telephone
I can offer counselling to anyone affected by Cancer in the UK using Zoom or the Telephone. I simply ask that you find a confidential and quiet space to have the session where you will not be overheard or interrupted.
Not only is this as effective as face-to-face, but you may also find it easier to have the session in a familiar and convenient space that you have chosen. Some clients say they find it easier to talk about some things when they are not the in the same room as their counsellor (although this may not be the case for you).
Zoom is recognised as an established, secure platform used by many therapists. I take full responsibility for computer security including a secure internet connection and security software.

About me and my therapy practice
It can be a relief to talk to someone, especially if you cannot share how you are feeling with friends or family. As a qualified counsellor, I will provide a safe place for you to explore what is troubling you.
Sometimes life can feel overwhelming – it could be due to something that has happened in your past. Or maybe it’s because of a situation you are trying to cope with right now. You may be angry, sad, scared or anxious. Maybe you are experiencing difficulties in your personal relationships or work life. Whatever your issue we can work together to help you make changes and improve your quality of life.
I will treat you with dignity and respect as you talk through what is going on for you at the moment and provide support to help you deal with difficult and painful feelings, thoughts and emotions.
My role as Counsellor is to support and enable you to understand yourself by talking openly and freely. All information shared between us remains strictly confidential to ensure that a strong, trusting and safe relationship can be built.
I provide Counselling either Face-to-Face or over Zoom or the Telephone. Face-to-Face sessions are held in a quiet, comfortable and private room in Chorlton, Manchester.
I understand that making the first step towards asking for help can feel daunting. If you feel that Counselling could help you, please feel free to contact me by email or phone. You can also send me a text message or Whatsapp. I will endeavour to get back to you within 48 hours and will be able to answer any questions that you may have.
