I am an Integrative relational therapist working in a comfortable dedicated therapy space in east Oxford. I currently have in-person and online sessions available at various times through the week.

I work with adult individuals on a weekly basis for an open-ended basis or, if preferred, a pre-agreed period of time.

About me and my therapy practice

I have experience of working with a wide range of emotional difficulties and life situations (including anxiety, depression, stress, family and personal relationships and more). Times of change can also be an impetus for starting therapy. I have frequently worked with people who are experiencing some form of transition in their life and who want space and time to reorientate and find a sense of self or renewed purpose.

Some of the benefits of working with me are :

Better understand what feels so difficult for you.

Identify and gain a deeper awareness of yourself and your patterns and behaviour.

Explore how you feel in your relationship with yourself and others.

Broaden the range of emotions and feelings you can recognise and allow for yourself.

Help discover your own inner resources.

You might have thought about these things on your own but the crucial difference in therapy is that you are with somebody who will really listen to you and pay attention to what you're experiencing; mind, body and emotions. A therapy relationship can bring new awareness about yourself, surprising new insights, feelings and information. Therapy is not just about what's said but also what's felt in our bodies, our thoughts, memories and imaginings. They all play an important part in what makes us unique and why I believe therapy is not a one size fits all.

I am an experienced, compassionate therapist. I bring myself as a fellow, real human being. I aim to be supportive of you and sensitively share my responses, feedback and sometimes challenge as we work together. I aim to help you feel safe enough to bring all parts of yourself and welcome you with respect and non judgement. I’ve been through the process of therapy myself; I know what a big step this can be. I really welcome you getting in touch and can send you more information and perhaps arrange to meet for an initial session together.

Practice description

I work from comfortable, dedicated therapy rooms in east Oxford.

I can also offer online sessions via Zoom.

My first session

In our first session together I like to get a clearer idea of what brings you to therapy, what your hopes and goals are. You might not have a clear idea at this stage, that's ok, we can perhaps work this out together. I take some basic information from you and answer any questions which you might have about the process. It's an opportunity to begin to explore whether we might be a good fit for each other. Therapy is not something which is done 'to you' it's an active relationship which involves us both in dialogue together.
