Living Wisely: Counselling for a Calmer Life
I offer 30-minute and 50-minute online and phone sessions, supporting adults aged 21 to 50+, including those who identify as queer and/or neurodivergent (autism, ADHD). My holistic approach sees you as a whole person—beyond labels or diagnoses—and creates space for your individuality and authentic self-expression.
These sessions offer a gentle invitation to pause, reflect, refresh your thoughts, and balance your emotions—all from the comfort of your home. I have a few weekday morning slots available and would be happy to help you make time for yourself whenever you're ready.
About me and my therapy practice
Hi, I'm Kes. :-)
I’m a therapist, and as someone who occasionally uses therapy myself, I understand that reaching out can feel like a big step. It takes courage to open up about your thoughts and feelings.
I aim to help you feel relaxed and confident as we explore your concerns, empowering you to connect with yourself, enhance your well-being and grow in authenticity.
I’m also a real human being—not just a therapist. While sessions are about you, I’m happy to share anything about myself that might help you feel more at ease. Just ask.
Practice description
I practise a holistic, "whole person" approach, meaning I welcome all aspects of who you are and anything you want to explore. My work is informed by person-centred and integrative modalities.
You may find working with me helpful if:
- You feel different, unseen or unheard: I work with neurodivergent individuals (e.g., autism, ADHD—whether diagnosed or awaiting diagnosis) who are navigating academic pressures, work-related stress, or interpersonal challenges. I also have experience supporting LGBTQIA+ adults and young people, as well as migrants and refugees, including those facing minority stress, cultural adaptation, and identity-related concerns.
- You're struggling to communicate authentically: If fears about others' reactions, people-pleasing tendencies, or unresolved past traumas are affecting your confidence, relationships, intimacy, or self-expression, we can work together to help you feel more like yourself and strengthen your communication and boundaries.
- You're motivated to grow: Therapy provides a space for self-reflection and gradual change. I believe in the power of self-leadership, and I expect my clients to be committed to their growth both inside and outside of sessions.Together, we’ll work to help you create a life that feels right for you, based on your values and on your terms
Weekly sessions cost £40 - £70. Flexible plans and concessions may be available.
My first session

About me and my therapy practice
Hi, I'm Kes and I am a therapeutic counsellor.
My core training is in humanistic, psycho-spiritual counselling.
I am also trained and experienced in working with gender, sexuality and relationship diversity, and have worked in placements with adults and younger people experiencing mental health and personal development issues.
Many of my clients identify as being "spiritual", including people from both religious or non-religious ways of life.
Practice description
During every session you'll have the opportunity to contemplate what is on your heart and mind, including issues that may be affecting your overall happiness and well-being.
We'll work together to create a balanced perspective that leaves you feeling empowered, resilient and more in touch with your inner capacity to cope with change, and lead your life wholeheartedly.
My first session
Your first session will feel conversational, and friendly, with space to explore anything that you wish.
I will empathise and support you with compassion, so you can make choices based on what you feel is right for you.
Sometimes counselling may include cheering you on, sometimes it is simply someone to confide in, or to lean on in difficult times.
Whatever it is that you require, let's arrange an initial consultation for about 30 minutes, so that we can both get a sense of whether we'll work well together.
Please send me a message or book via my website.

About me and my therapy practice
Hi, I'm Kes, and a wholehearted welcome to you.
I understand that it's usually not an easy decision to begin therapy. You may be here because something in your life isn't feeling right to you, or maybe you're worried about how others think of you, feel like you're stressed and running on empty too often.
Life is rough sometimes - for students, working parents, LGBTQ+ folks, and people just trying to thrive in difficult conditions. I work with a wide diversity of clients. I am here in solidarity alongside you, to support you to find your way through.
Together we can explore exactly what's going on, and what your strengths and values are, so that you can navigate through based on caring for your internal resources. Our work may also include tending to your vulnerabilities and emotional pain, and we may look into specifics of the psychological workings beneath issues such as anxiety and depression.
Practice description
Therapy means 'to accompany' and 'to be alongside'.
I will accompany you and support you to gain insights into your thoughts and emotions, so that you can create personal progress informed by greater self-awareness. You'll find, hopefully, that by the end of therapy, you understand yourself, your patterns, who you are, and what really matters to you so that you can create the changes that you need to in order to create better conditions for your thriving, as best as you can.
My first session
In our first session, you're invited to simply meet me and discuss what it is that you need from therapy. You're welcome to contact me to arrange your initial consultation, so that we can get to know each other and find out whether we're a good match for continuing to work together.
