About me and my therapy practice
Hello and welcome.
I am a qualified and experienced counsellor offering online counselling using Zoom. I have many year's experience in helping individuals who are struggling.
I believe that we are all born with the ability to live a happy and fulfilling life. Unfortunately, as we move through life, we can pick up negative messages and value statements from others that can mask our own needs and wants. We learn to listen to, and sometimes please, the others around us rather than listening to our own core needs.
Very often it is only when we experience a challenging set of circumstances or a sudden and unexpected life change, that it triggers us to take a step back and think, “Enough is Enough”.
You may have been experiencing low self-esteem, anxiety, depression, low mood or feelings of anger for quite some time and just thought, "well that's how it is, that's just me!". Then your life gets turned upside down with a sudden change such as a bereavement, a relationship breakdown, a job loss. Or your life may have changed due to circumstances such as the menopause, an empty nest or retirement. You find yourself experiencing feelings or grief and suddenly life doesn't make sense anymore. You start to feel lost and alone. It feels like nobody truly understands what you are going through, and you wonder how you are ever going to get over it.
It is normal to struggle with life from time to time and sometimes we need a little help to get us back on track.
I can help you to discover what you need to find your inner ability to live a life that feels good and right.
Practice description
Using a person centred approach, I will put you at the heart of our work together.
Each of us experience life in our own unique way which can, at times, be difficult to make sense of. Working together we can explore what has brought you to seek out counselling, discovering how life is for you in the here and now. Bringing awareness to your current situation can help you understand your life and help to identify what you need and enable those needs to be met.
We will go at a pace and in a direction that feels comfortable for you.

About me and my therapy practice
It is normal to struggle with life from time to time and sometimes we need a little help to get back on track. Whether you are experiencing anxiety, depression, low mood, sadness, loneliness or finding your self-esteem / self-confidence are at an all time low. Whatever it is that is making life difficult for you talking things through with a trained counsellor can help.
Using compassion and understanding I work with you to explore what has brought you to seek out counselling. My aim is to provide a space where you feel able to look inside yourself to truly listen and hear what you actually want and need. Counselling is a journey into your inner world, which may feel scary and uncomfortable at times, and my role is to walk beside you, providing empathy and insight, so you are not on your own. Together we can discover what you need to make sense of your life and to find your inner ability to thrive.
