Availability
I currently have some availability for in-person clients on weekdays. I am able to offer more flexibility to clients who are interested in online only work.
From time to time I also run group workshops for relationship issues, focusing on conflict resolution and healthy communication methods. These are a more affordable option at £35 per 90 minutes (max 8 per group). These groups offer a different dynamic to therapy and are more psycho-educative and interactive. If you'd like more information and see if you might benefit from attending, please get in touch.
About me and my therapy practice
I am an experienced Psychotherapist with a specialised interest in relationships and relational issues. I work with individuals and partnerships who seek to facilitate meaningful communication and deeper connections. I am an accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) with extensive experience, currently accepting clients on both open ended and time-limited basis.
Process
Gaining deeper insight into our unconscious, as well as recognizing and addressing negative thought and behavior patterns, can significantly contribute to developing a calmer and more compassionate relationship with ourselves and those around us. Psychodynamic psychotherapy can foster positive change in your personal life and relationships through self-reflection and self-examination. Getting acquainted with your emotional landscape can pave the way for individual growth and healthier connections with others.
By practicing the skill of recognizing and expressing our inner experiences, we can greatly enhance our interactions with the world and those around us. As a therapist, my role is to assist you in accurately articulating and comprehending your emotions, thoughts, and behaviours. This process can provide clarity and alleviate feelings of being overwhelmed or bewildered. Building on this foundation, my objective is to equip you with the necessary tools for self-reflection and functional communication, empowering you to effectively navigate future internal and relational conflicts independently. Nurturing your self-reliance will enable you to master both personal and relational challenges.
"Our feelings are not there to be cast out or conquered. They're there to be engaged and expressed with imagination and intelligence." - T. K. Coleman

My first session
It is important that you commit to therapy with a therapist who feels right for you to get the most out of the process.
As a first step, I would suggest scheduling a free introductory call. This would be about 10-15 minute where we will discuss in a bit more detail what you are looking for and what I can offer you. We can then decide if we are a good fit for working together.
We will then schedule our first session. Here, I will be getting to know you and what brought you to therapy in more detail, what you expect from therapy, and what I can offer you. This will help us develop a clear collaborative goal.
For individuals, I suggest meeting 2-3 times before deciding if we will continue to have regular sessions where we can establish a time-frame together with a clear destination.
For couples, relationships and partnerships, the assessment process consists of 3 sessions (depending on the relational structure, this might be 3+ in partnerships); first session together, then each individual on their own. We will then meet for a feedback session where we will discuss the assessment, decide if we will continue to have regular sessions together, and draw a roadmap of how we will proceed.
