About me and my therapy practice
I provide a calm therapeutic space inviting you to share your worries, overcome difficulties and attain a more hopeful perspective that can be life changing. I have a warm, empathic and intuitive approach. I believe problems can be used as tools for transformation. When experiencing challenges or change we can often disconnect from ourselves and others. I can support you in reconnecting with your true self, becoming clearer in your direction and letting go of that which no longer serves you. I completed five years of psychotherapy training regulated by the UK Council for Psychotherapy [UKCP] and the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy [BACP].
Practice description
I am experienced in working with all issues including relationships and anxiety. My main area of work is eating disorders.
I can be contacted on my website where you can write me a message and we can arrange a time to speak. I offer an initial 15 minute chat on the phone, free of charge, so you can get a sense of us working together. From here we can arrange a time and date to meet. Sessions are 50 minutes, and take place weekly at the same day and time.
My first session
The first session is really about having a conversation and building a rapport which is important in order for us to work together. I will explain a little about therapy and of our sessions. I will ask you some questions such as what brings you to therapy and about the issues you wish to discuss. Towards the end of the session we can decide about proceeding to meet weekly.
