About me and my therapy practice
Seeking therapy may be in response to a specific issue or perhaps there is a general sense of unease that you wish to understand and change. Often when experiencing change or challenges we can disconnect from ourselves and others. Therapy can support you in reconnecting with your true self, becoming clearer in your direction and letting go of what no longer serves you.
I provide a calm therapeutic space inviting you to unburden your troubles, navigate adversities and gain a more hopeful perspective which can be life changing.
I completed five years psychotherapy training regulated by the UK Council for Psychotherapy [UKCP] and the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy [BACP].
Practice description
I have a warm, empathic and intuitive approach. I see clients when often their life feels in crisis. This can be due to circumstantial issues or long-standing issues that reach crisis point.
I am trained to work with all issues but my main areas of work are Anxiety, Eating Disorders and Self-Esteem issues.
I work with you at a level and pace that best supports you in instigating the changes you wish to make.
My first session
The first session is about getting an understanding of the issues you wish to address and explore. I will ask some questions whilst being conscious that you may wish to share a little or a lot. Either is ok and it is important that you feel comfortable. I will explain a little about therapy and of our sessions. From here we will meet weekly at a set date and time.
