About me and my therapy practice
My name is Johanna, I provide a safe, non-judgmental and empathetic space for my clients to take a some time to bring an awareness to themselves and their wellbeing. To be able to explore what is going on for them and tackle the questions and feelings that feel too big to take on alone.
Coming from a multicultural background allows me to work with a wide range of people and the variety of issues that come with that. Alongside this I have a background as a Wellbeing Advisor so any issue you come to me with, big or small, I can work with all that life can throw your way and accompany you on the path to finding some answers.
My passion for counselling comes from empowering people and watching them flourish, becoming more positive in their wellbeing and increasing the compassion they hold for themselves. I have worked alongside clients with a range of issues from anxiety, depression, loneliness, bereavement, abuse, suicidal ideation, sexuality and relationship issues. I have a passion for working with young people and giving them the autonomy and resilience to get through the hardest moments of their lives and have continued to work in higher education settings to promote the improvement of their wellbeing.
Practice description
I am an integrative counsellor who uses person centred therapy as the base and cognitive behaviour therapy as a tool to create a healthy therapeutic relationship built on trust and respect. I can tailor our sessions in a way that suits you, to help us explore your concerns together.Sessions are exclusively online or via telephone.
My first session
I offer a free 15 minute initial session for you to see if I would be a good fit for you as a therapist and so I can get an idea of your expectations and needs
If you decide that we would be a good fit, we can begin with weekly/fortnightly 50 minute sessions via video chat or telephone
I am happy to take block bookings or to leave it open ended depending on your preference
