About me and my therapy practice
If you are experiencing stress, anxiety or grief, counselling can provide a confidential safe space for you. A process of psychological connection and deep understanding, opening up a new awareness of your self.
I am Person-Centred sitting alongside you, as you decide what choices are best for you. By listening, understanding and gaining a sense of your perspective, a connection is formed. The relationship is key in counselling and forms the foundation of trust. Feeling understood, heard and accepted, supports you in being able to talk about your feelings without being judged. The process of awareness, acceptance and change is directed by you to enhance your autonomy and empower you to make your own choices. Through awareness, change is possible and you are the best person to know what is the right decision for you. I will support you through this process.
Self-confidence and self-esteem grows, as you begin to develop a sense of value and shift your old way of being into a more self-aware and independent person.
The process of change occurs through a safe connection, feeling accepted and being able to be yourself with another person.
You are your own expert of yourself. Trust your gut instinct.

My first session
Your first session is a time for you to feel that you can talk about whatever is causing you emotional distress. The focus is on connecting with you and getting a sense of what you are experiencing. For you to be heard and understood in a confidential space.
