My first session
I'm Sophie, a qualified and registered counsellor dedicated to guiding individuals through life's challenges towards greater mental and emotional well-being. With a focus on personalised care and understanding, I offer supportive counselling services tailored to your unique needs.
I offer individual counselling sessions from my comfortable office in Horsham town centre. There is free parking just across the road. I also work online. I am registered with the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists, and have many years of experience working with young people and adults.
Everyone needs a person to whom they can tell the truth when asked "how are you?" For most of us, it is not always straightforward or possible to be truthful, and sometimes, we simply don't know how we are.
Counselling provides a warm, non-judgemental, and positive environment which can help you to explore whatever you wish to. Talking, finding new ways of coping, learning new skills, and gaining new perspectives can really help you to feel better.
I work integratively, mainly using Person-Centred and CBT approaches, and this allows me to tailor the work to suit your needs. Initially, my focus is on creating a strong, trusting relationship with you and I provide a confidential, non-judgemental space in which we can explore what brings you to counselling.
I offer both long and short-term counselling, and we can discuss what is most appropriate for you. My approach is straightforward and relaxed, conversational, gentle, and always friendly.
I offer a free of charge, twenty minute initial consultation to allow us to chat and get to know each other a little. This session will be a chance for you to ask me any questions you wish to, and explore whether I am the right counsellor for you, and for me to explore how I can best support you.
