About me and my therapy practice
Welcome to Connect & Balance Counselling Service, and making that first step to healing & moving forward. My name is Ruth & I am a qualified integrative counsellor, offering you tools to make positive changes to enable you to manage independently, even when therapy has finished.
My integrative process facilitates you with a deeper awareness of reflecting how your feelings & choices impact your mental wellbeing & help empower you with a healthier outlook. As a therapist I focus on individual problems, safely guiding and supporting you to understand the heart of the issue and reduce your distress, enabling you to flourish, grow & become a better version of yourself.
I work with adults and young people with a wide variety of issues like anxiety, depression, grief, loss, neglect, low self-esteem, addiction, physical & emotional abuse, stress, confidence, cancer, bereavement, & trauma, etc.
It's not always easy reaching out to someone you know & often those closest to us are unable to help, not because they don't care but because they just don't know how to. I am a neutral party, providing empathy & genuine understanding to your personal difficulties. I Provide a relaxed environment, talking through your difficult obstacles at your own pace, working ethically, inclusively, with integrity & equality, respecting diversity, culture, race, gender, ethnic backgrounds & sexual orientation without judgement.
Practice description
The focus of the session is about you and your recovery, whilst working together to build a solid foundation for a secure, trusting relationship, which promotes you with a deeper understanding & awareness of your thoughts, feelings & actions, to enrich the outcome for better results. This helps to validate your self-belief & worth to manage your triggers independently.
I will nurture your personal growth & enable you to progress in a healthier way, whilst boosting your confidence to grow & find strength & courage to cope when overwhelming feelings become to intense. You can learn to empower yourself with a greater sense of fulfilment & live in the present, making better choices to personal happiness & a meaningful life.
Everyone's story is different & I will walk beside you, supporting with compassion & genuine care to resolve your problems.
My first session
Fees: £60.00 Weekdays
£70.00 Weekends
£45.00 Counselling Students
I offer concessions to student studying counselling degrees.
The first therapy session gives you an opportunity to express your issue & begin to build a trusting relationship together, which is paramount to your therapy & healing. I use various techniques which helps you to reflect on your past & present experiences to promote understanding & awareness for a healthier outcome & moving forward & being the best version of yourself.
My established practise, offers a warm, trusting space where you can explore issues safely & I work ethically in your best interest, valuing & respecting your diverse needs, cultures, races & religions to enable you to become a confident individual.
