About me and my therapy practice

Hi, and thank you for viewing my profile. My name is Ayisha, I am a  qualified Counsellor and  a Registered member of the British Association for Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP).

I work with male and female adults and teens from 16 and above. I have a substantial experience working with a variety of issues, which includes Depression, Anxiety, Past Issues, Childhood Issues, Relationship issues, Domestic Violence, Domestic Abuse, Sexual Abuse, PSTD, OCD, Work related Issues, Bereavement &Loss, Bullying, Trauma, Low Self-Esteem, Self-harm and Anger Issues.

I also offer Pre-trial therapy in line with pre trial therapy protocols for witnesses and victims attending court. (Around Domestic Violence/Abuse and child contact).

Having engaged in my own personal therapy, as part of counselling process, I can appreciate just how scary and challenging taking the first steps into therapy can be. It's not easy but I'll create a safe space for you to feel heard and walk through the whole journey with you. I provide a warm, empathic and non-judgemental approach to my therapeutic work and offer confidential, safe environment for clients to explore and gain an understanding of any issues affecting their wellbeing. I offer face to face counselling, telephone and online counselling.

I am a person-centred counsellor who use elements of cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT) to look at ways of coping strategies and Psycho-Education which allows you to understand your thoughts and feelings.  My aim is to ensure that we work together and identify the therapeutic approach that best suits your therapeutic needs and wellbeing.
