Tuula Rasen

I am a registered Psychoanalytic and Psychodynamic Psychotherapist with BACP, BPC and FPC. I offer therapy and counselling in South East London, SE12, and online. 

I work with people who want to improve their understanding of themselves, their difficulties and their relationships. I also see people who face specific challenges (e.g., relationship breakup, loss) and who are experiencing emotional issues (e.g., anxiety, persistent overwhelm, depression or low self-esteem).

My approach as a therapist is to listen carefully and foster a trusting relationship to think together and make sense of the issues that bring the person to therapy.

I have completed a counselling skills foundation, a 4-year BACP, BPC & UKCP-accredited professional training in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy and, more recently, BPC-accredited training for five years in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy. Additionally, I have an MA in Psychodynamic Practice and Theory (Roehampton) and a degree in Psychology (Goldsmiths).

I am committed to professional standards and ethics and registered with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy), the British Psychoanalytic Council and the Foundation for Psychotherapy and Counselling.

I offer a 50-minute initial consultation in person or online to see if working together could be helpful for you. This is an opportunity for us to talk about why you are considering therapy and what you hope to gain if we agree to work together. The cost of this appointment is £65.
