About me and my therapy practice
Are you finding life difficult? Do you need to support with problems which are affecting you now, or is there something in your past that is interfering with living the life that you want? It can be hard to talk to family or friends, or it can feel as if there is no-one to talk to.
Experiences can be challenging such as, bereavement, relationship breakdown, illness, bullying or stress can all affect everyone at some point in their lives. This can leave you feeling overwhelmed, lost, angry, isolated or confused. If you are experiencing any of these issues, or there are other problems troubling you, then therapy maybe for you.
During my time as a support worker I undertook training to support survivors of Domestic abuse, helping people to have better understanding of a healthy/unhealthy relationships by using the Freedom Programme and to help rebuild their lives by using the recovery tool kit programme which compliments Domestic Abuse in Counselling training.
As a trained practitioner of the Rewind Technique, which is a non-intrusive, safe and highly effective psychological method for de-traumatising people and can also be used for removing phobias.
I offer a confidential space where you can talk about what feels important, challenging or painful. I offer short-term counselling, to address a specific issue, or open-ended therapy, to look at feelings or experiences which feel more complex. I don't make assumptions or judgements, and I know it takes courage to make contact with a therapist.
As an Integrative Counsellor I can draw on techniques from different types of therapy to tailor an approach specifically for you.
