About me and my therapy practice
Hello, I’m Zoë, a UKCP registered Certified Transactional Analyst Psychotherapist CTA (P) and psychotherapeutic counsellor.
I believe everyone has value and worth and deserves to be treated equally and fairly with dignity and respect. That’s why the therapy I offer is grounded in “OKness” achieved through a relationship of empathic, trusting and respectful connection. In my experience to feel connected to another person, perhaps for the very first time, is to feel seen, heard and understood. A chance to (re)connect to a more authentic self and a freer way of living and being.
I offer short-term and open-ended counselling and psychotherapy within an inclusive practice which supports and affirms cultural and identity diversity. A safe, non-judgemental, confidential place for you to "come and be as you are". Somewhere to explore whatever is troubling you and prompted you to consider therapy.
Practice description
I have experience of working with a wide range of emotional and relational issues in both NHS and charitable settings and a particular interest in questions of identity. How do we experience sameness and difference; our own and each other’s? How does our sense of who we are impact our relationships; those we have with others and the relationship we have with ourselves? How do we navigate difference in order to find space to be differently different together?...
Qualifications:
Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling (Level 6), Metanoia Institute
Diploma in Transactional Analysis Psychotherapy (Level 7), Metanoia Institute
MSc in Transactional Analysis Psychotherapy, Middlesex University
Certified Transactional Analyst (CTA)
UKCP Registration
My first session
I offer a free 20 minute telephone or Zoom consultation as an opportunity to discuss what you might be looking for from therapy. It is also a chance for us to find out a little more about each other and for you to get a feel for how I work and what it might be like for us to work together.
If you wish to go ahead, the first session will take the shape of an assessment covering questions to help me better understand how I might support you throughout your therapy with me.
