Alison Hardingham

I work with clients who for whatever reason need time to think, and someone to think with. 

I focus on the emotional life of my clients and on the relationship which develops between me and them. I am a psychodynamic psychotherapist and so I am able to explore with my clients the ways they have related to others since early life, and what this means for the relationships they develop with others now. This exploration will include the strengths that they have as well as the ways in which they limit themselves.

I have been working with clients for over thirty years, as they think anew about their lives and what they want.

My practice is conducted within a safe, confidential consulting room at my home. Clients come for 50 minute sessions once a week. If you decide to become a client of mine, we will work to a timetable of your choosing. I have experience in both short and long engagements - from six weeks to several years.  

The first session is when you decide whether you want to work with me. You may want to know more about me and about my practice. I shall be interested in why you have come to see me, and in what you hope for from our work together. 

This first session will last an hour. It costs £80 and I may take notes, which you are welcome to see.
