About me and my therapy practice
Life can be difficult and present many challenges. Maybe a major life event has knocked you off course. Or you might be feeling down but aren’t sure why. Anxiety may be stopping you from achieving your goals. You might feel that everyone else appears to have life ‘sorted’ but you are confused and overwhelmed. You may feel like an alien from a distant galaxy, forced to live on an unfathomable planet, amongst incomprehensible people.
Whatever the reason, the fact that you are here means that you are ready for change and are prepared to work towards achieving your goals.
I trained as a person-centred counsellor and have continued to learn from other modalities so that my practice is now integrative. What this means is that I am flexible and can tailor the way I work to suit your needs. My person-centred focus means that I won’t give you advice as I believe you have the ability to find your own answers and your own path. No one will have had your exact set of experiences, no one will see the world quite as you do, which is why the best person to find your way is you. My role, if you will have me, is to walk alongside you on your journey, to show you things you might not have seen, to explain things you may find mystifying, and to explore areas you may be reluctant to visit alone.
Practice description

- Applying Neuroscience in Counselling Practice
- An Empathic Approach to Anger Management

My first session
I offer a free 30 minute conversation online. This is a space for us to get to know each other and for you to decide whether you would like to work with me. We will explore what brings you to counselling and what you hope to achieve. I will explain more about my practice and how I work, and answer any questions you may have. There is no obligation to proceed further.
