About me and my therapy practice
I am a qualified counsellor and a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) with my practice firmly grounded in Humanistic Counselling and Cognitive Behaviour Therapies with professional qualifications and training in both, as well as additional therapeutic modalities.
As a Professional Counsellor I take part in regular CPD (Continuing Professional Development) days so my knowledge and experience is constantly updated.
As well as working in private practice, I volunteer with a charitable organisation offering therapy to adults who have been referred through the NHS or have self- referred with a wide range of issues.
I have worked as a school counsellor at a secondary high school with young people and I am familiar with the issues impacting young people today.
I have experience of working in social care and the NHS. I also have significant experience of offering counselling to individuals, families, and carers who are struggling to cope with everyday life and are impacted by: disability, long term medical conditions, life limiting illness, loss of independence and significantly reduced mental health.
I work with people from a variety of backgrounds and cultures, neurodivergent thinking styles, with a wide range of issues.
Practice description
I offer a friendly and approachable service to adults and young people facing emotional, personal or relationship difficulties. Daytime, evening and weekend appointments available with on-site parking. Based in Worsley village, Salford M28.
My style is that of quiet patience. I am interested about the people sat with me and extend warmth and compassion in a gentle way so we can work together to find the right solution for you. Everyone starts somewhere and I'm here to help you start the way that is right for you.
My first session
I understand it can be difficult to make initial contact so to make this as easy as possible, I am happy to offer a free initial telephone consultation to explain how I work. We can also discuss any questions that you have regarding the counselling relationship and counselling process.
