About me and my therapy practice

I am a child and young person therapist. I work with children and young people from 4-18 years old. I use play, art and talking therapy, being completely open to what suits the child.

Practice description

I offer 1:1 counselling to children and young people 4-18 years old. I use a very creative and open approach to counselling building a positive and trusting relationship with the child. This relationship is so important for them to feel safe enough to let me into their lives.

I have games, sand, clay, art materials including puppets and small world. Allowing the child to explore and process their inner world.

I am a qualified teacher and have worked in a variety of setting within education, but realised that children are not able to learn and move forward until they are feeling 'ok'. Feeling very passionate about this, I decided to become a Child Counsellor using the Arts.

I work with children and young people who need someone to listen to them and help them to process their experiences.

I have also worked with children who have experienced trauma, anxiety, parents separation, bereavement, impact of parental substance use and domestic violence.
