About me and my therapy practice

Hi my name is Zareena......that step in reaching out to someone can feel huge. I want to reassure you that I understand this and will be open from the start to your worries, questions, fears or anything else you might be feeling. 

Our worries, relationships, losses, traumas, emotions and well-being can become overwhelming and at times we can feel very alone. Confidence and self-esteem can be impacted leaving us feeling low or unsure.  

Perhaps you just want to be heard or find ways to work through some of the uncomfortable emotions, develop your confidence and self awareness or find new ways of managing.

Maybe the issues are deeper more complex challenges or pains that you would like help with?

Counselling can help you address these difficulties and work through emotions learning to understand yourself in new ways creating the potential to grow and make positive changes.  

I provide one to one counselling creating a place where you can be yourself without judgement.  

I work with individuals of all backgrounds, ages, beliefs, gender and presentations.  

I work with education (14+), voluntary sector and domestic abuse services. 

Practice description

Person-Centered approach means you are always at the centre of our work and the strength of the relationship we build together will be key. 

My approach is Person Centered I will draw on integrative practice to enhance my work and work with your uniqueness.

A trauma informed approach creates a space that is safe. I use my passion, calmness and commitment as a therapist to create warmth, a confidential and a non-judgmental place where my clients can be accepted as they are and can feel as comfortable and safe as they can be so thoughts, feelings and behaviours can be explored.

We will work together at your pace to look at the issues that have impacted you. Once we have begun to identify the issues we can work together to create aims to work towards.

I would hope that in our sessions you will experience warmth and being heard.

My first session

If you feel ready you can contact me and I will arrange to offer you an initial telephone call to answer any questions you may have about counselling. 

Should we decide to work together our first session would be to go through what we could expect from our sessions, undertake an assessment and identify any goals or aims that you may have.
