About me and my therapy practice
I am an experienced, qualified Person-Centred counsellor Integrating further training including Attachment-Based Psychotherapy and complex trauma into my practice. I value each client’s unique story and respect them as an individual. I understand that discussing painful or embarrassing topics can be challenging. I offer an open, non-judgmental confidential space for clients to feel listened to and heard by an impartial, empathic professional. I offer online or telephone sessions only.
Are you finding yourself feeling more worried or anxious? Maybe there is something you want to talk about but are scared it might not make sense or wouldn't be understood by family or friends. Feeling stuck and unable to move forward brings a sense of frustration and depression, which can overtake daily life and things that once brought you joy don't seem to anymore.
The therapeutic relationship is a space to explore those unspoken negative thoughts or feelings about yourself or others. Sometimes unwanted words or emotions can come tumbling out, at what feels like the wrong time and in the wrong way affecting how you feel and the relationships that matter most. Counselling is a great way of getting to know, understand and express yourself more authentically. Working regularly at the client's pace can lead to healing and deeper insight. I offer an initial, free 20-minute no-obligation telephone consultation and follow-up sessions in person, online, or by phone.
I have experience supporting individuals through issues like identity, infidelity, work problems, sexuality, sexual abuse, trauma, PTSD, and negative childhood experiences. I also work with those affected by recent diagnoses, ill health, and autism spectrum conditions, including ADHD. I aim to foster insight and healing by exploring personal challenges with curiosity. Understanding and addressing past experiences can lead to personal growth and shape your future.
