About me and my therapy practice

It can be really hard to decide to start looking for a counsellor, never mind actually beginning the search.

Know that I’m here to offer you a warm, supportive space for you to share as openly as you feel comfortable, without judgment.

There are lots of reasons people seek counselling and all of them are valid - what you bring is important.

Life can come with a whole host of challenges - feeling out of control, stuck in unhealthy cycles (thought patterns, behaviours, relationships), low self-confidence, anxiety, stress, depression, comparing, feeling irritable, overwhelmed.

Together, we can explore what you’re experiencing and how it’s affecting you, alongside developing new ways to help you manage effectively so that you can feel empowered, in control and capable.

I believe that therapy should be tailored to the individual - it can't be a one-size-fits-all, right?! That's why I trained integratively with the Person-Centred Approach at the heart of how I work. This means that I believe you know you better than anyone - you might just not quite know the questions to ask to get those answers.

The integrative part means that I use other theories to best support you - these theories help us to explore you, your life experiences, your relationships (with you and with others) while building coping strategies and identifying any behaviours that we can work towards changing if you'd like to.

I offer a free 30 minute Zoom call so we can meet, have a chat about your hopes for counselling and for you to decide if I'm the right counsellor for you.

With exploring, discovering and understanding, I believe you can heal, grow and thrive…

Practice description

At the heart of my work is the belief that healing happens in relationship. I don’t sit behind a mask or hold back who I am; instead, I show up with you—present, engaged, and alongside you in whatever you’re facing. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, anxious, low, or simply in need of a space to be heard, you're welcome just as you are.

My style is gentle but honest. I’ll meet you where you are, but I’ll also invite you to go deeper when you’re ready. I draw from a range of approaches including relational therapy, person-centred, psychodynamic and body-aware practices. This means our work together is shaped by your unique story, your pace, and your needs.

Clients often tell me they feel safe to bring parts of themselves they’ve kept hidden, and that’s something I value deeply. I don’t offer quick fixes or advice—but I do offer a space where something meaningful can unfold. Together, we can explore the patterns, beliefs and experiences that may be keeping you stuck, and begin to gently shift them—so you can live more fully, more freely, and more in connection with yourself.

Sessions are available online; if you’d like to know more or get a feel for whether I’m the right fit, you’re welcome to get in touch.

These might be about how I work as a counsellor - they might be about counselling in general. Of course, I'm happy to answer these if I can.
