About me and my therapy practice
Hello and thank you for viewing my page. My name is Nick and I work as an Integrative Counsellor. This means I draw on different approaches to suit your situation and requirement.
I run a service called You First Therapeutic Services (YFTS) and I started this to help individuals seeking support for their mental health.
As someone who has sought support in the past, I understand how difficult it can be to reach out and make contact with someone you do not know.
I have worked within caring and person focused settings for over 14 years. In this time I have been a Staff Support Counsellor within the NHS, a Student Counsellor, a Volunteer Counsellor for adults, a Support line worker, a Mentor, a Youth Worker/Mental Health Worker, and a Key Worker for vulnerable adults and young people.
I have supported people across different settings, communities, and cultures. I am also involved in a variety of work which focuses on Equality, Diversity and Inclusion.
Training, qualifications & experience
- CPCAB Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling, an integrative approach.
- CPCAB Certificate in Counselling Skills, an integrative approach.
- CPCAB Certificate in Counselling Studies, an integrative approach.
- Complex Trauma Certification Training Level 1 & 2
- Certificate in Online and Telephone Counselling
- MSc in Psychology
- Level 6 Advanced Certificate in Clinical Supervision including face-to-face, online and telephone working (Currently undertaking)

Are you looking for someone who will listen to you with empathy and without judgement? My approach to helping you is to work along side you and what you are experiencing. My focus is on you and supporting you in a way that enables you to move out of discomfort, and move forward from stuckness and other thoughts/feelings caused by your present or past.

I am a Norfolk and Waveney Mind credentialed therapist.

My first session
Session lengths are for one (1) hour. We have initial contact via email or over the phone, and if we both wish to go ahead I will book in our first session. This session will involve registration and assessment to ensure that we feel comfortable working together and that my offer is suitable for you.
Initial sessions are at a reduced rate and generally last an hour.
