About me and my therapy practice

Allowing you to feel heard, accepted and understood is at the heart of my practice. I understand thinking about and starting counselling can be scary and taking that first step can be daunting, but I will support you every step of the way and we can go at your pace.

I am a warm, friendly and compassionate person-centred counsellor who looks to provide a safe place for you to explore the things that are bothering you and know yourself better, free from any judgement.

Working in the NHS for several years has given me a wealth of experience with diverse mental health problems (including depression, anxiety, OCD), physical health conditions (such as endometriosis, fibromyalgia, arthritis, diabetes) and life challenges (relationship breakdown, loss of job, bereavement, family issues).

Whether you know what is bothering you, or you have a general feeling of discontent, confusion or overwhelm, having the time and space to talk about it freely can empower you to understand it and consider the best way forward for you.

I am most passionate about helping clients understand themselves. This may be a struggle with low confidence or self-esteem, feeling lost and not knowing who you are, or moving through life transitions and milestones (eg becoming a parent, leaving home, career change, menopause, bereavement, retirement). My work is focused on enabling personal growth and helping you to become the best version of you.

I am an accredited member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP) and alongside my therapy work have had voluntary roles for babyloss charities including Sands and the Twin Trust.

I work with adults aged over 18.
