About me and my therapy practice
Are you living with anxiety or depression, feeling down or going through a life changing event? Are you feeling disconnected, lost or stuck? I am a qualified integrative counsellor, working with adults, providing a safe space to explore these feelings. I am committed to making a difference to my client’s lives and offer a warm, non-judgemental, compassionate and confidential counselling working from Stockport and remotely.
I like to a build strong and secure relationship with my client, one based on trust, where you are fully free to be yourself and feel safe to discuss any difficulties you are facing. My aim is to support you whilst we explore what’s happening, gain insight as to why, and by working together, help you overcome these issues and bring positive change. Whatever it is, counselling can help work with these feelings in a warm and supportive environment where you are seen and heard in confidence and without judgement.
I have lots of experience of working with clients from all backgrounds with a wide range of reasons for seeking therapy. Everyday I work with people going though the most difficult of times and I believe that through the connection we build and the work we do together you will have a better understanding of who you really are, have compassion for yourself, feel more connected to others and have a sense of your purpose and direction in life.
Practice description
I offer a free initial 20 minute phone call where you can ask any questions you may have and to ensure we are a good fit so that you feel comfortable moving forward. I offer face to face and video call sessions – evening appointments are also available. I understand how daunting taking the first step into therapy can be so please feel free to use whichever method of contact you feel most comfortable with - email (please check your spam folder if waiting for a response as replies occasionally end up there), text or WhatsApp and I’ll respond as soon as possible.
Clients of all ages and from all backgrounds come to therapy for many different reasons. I feel privileged to have supported my clients with many issues, including: depression, low self-esteem, grief, shame, stress, anxiety, family and relationship issues, negative thoughts, bereavement, and abuse.
I am a member of the BACP and adhere to their ethical framework. No two therapies look the same and as a qualified integrative counsellor I draw on a combination of Person Centred Therapy (PCT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Transactional Analysis (TA) to tailor our work together to suit your unique needs.

My aim is to support you whilst we explore what’s happening, gain insight as to why, and by working together, help you overcome these issues and bring positive change. Together, we will look at your patterns of behaviour, attachment styles, your needs and how you communicate these, learn about your coping strategies (do you abandon yourself, are you a chronic people pleaser, are you living in survival mode) - explore the root of these and whether they are helpful to you or getting in the way of living in the way you’d like to. Whatever it is, counselling can help work with these feelings in a warm and supportive environment where you are seen and heard in confidence and without judgement.
