About me and my therapy practice
I am an integrative counsellor and my skills are underpinned by a person centred approach. I offer counselling to children, young people, adults and couples. I have worked with clients who have had a range of issues such as anxiety, depression, self esteem difficulties, work related stress, issues in relation to gender and sexuality alongside clients who have experienced childhood trauma, loss and grief.
In addition to offering counselling to clients, I am a therapeutic consultant offering therapeutic advice and guidance to children's homes within the Greater Manchester area.
I am also a qualified and experienced social worker and have a wealth of experience and understanding of working with care leavers whilst recognising the impact of intergenerational trauma.
I have a passion for working with people whilst creating a safe environment to help clients to process and understand their feelings. I do not view myself as the expert in the therapeutic relationship as I believe that with the right support and therapeutic relationship, the client can understand their difficulties and find their own solutions to the difficulties they are facing.
I am a non- judgemental person, have a warm and caring nature and display empathy. As a counsellor I recognise that everyone has life experiences and my role in the therapy room is to support the client to understand the impact of those experiences in their life currently and work alongside the client on their journey to healing.

I have also completed Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP) level 1 and level 2 and use DDP principles when working with clients. DDP is a therapeutic approach that is particularly effective for clients with attachment disorders and trauma. It emphasises creating a secure and trusting relationship between the therapist, client and their parent or carer and promotes a deep understanding of emotional experiences and fostering healthy attachment patterns.
Furthermore, in addition to offering counselling to clients, I am a therapeutic consultant offering therapeutic advice and guidance to children's homes within the Greater Manchester area.
