About me and my therapy practice
I believe that we can all gain in some way from counselling. There may be a specific issue you want to deal with or something more general. Just like going to the dentist, regular check ups on our mental and emotional health can be very beneficial.
My approach is non-directive. I will work with you to explore your past experiences as well as your current reality in a way that aims to reduce unhappiness, depression or anxiety and increase self-awareness, self-esteem and self-acceptance.
I am a qualified and experienced counsellor. I trained at The Metanoia Institute in Ealing and hold a BSc/Level 6 Diploma in Humanistic Counselling and an MSc in Psychology. I am also an HCPC registered practitioner psychologist. I will provide a safe, supportive and professional environment for you to explore your difficulties and make positive changes in your life.
I offer Humanistic Counselling. My approach is flexible so it can be adapted to your needs. I integrate theories from Person-Centred counselling, Gestalt and Transactional Analysis and place great value on a positive client/counsellor therapeutic relationship.
My practice involves non-judgmental, empathic talking and listening as well as being respectful of difference and diversity. I work holistically in a way that enables you to consider experiences not just in terms of thoughts and feelings but also in terms of body awareness and intuition.
