ABOUT ME AND HOW I WORK

Hello, I'm Matthew.

Sometimes it can be too painful or difficult to face things and our attempts to escape them can cause just as much discomfort. I’ve been there, and the counselling I received was so transformative I decided to train as a therapist and dedicate myself to helping other people who are struggling — I know that things can get so much better, no matter how bad they seem.

I specialise in helping you explore and make sense of how you fit into the world, how you think and feel about yourself, the people around you, and your circumstances — and what you might want to change.

I have extensive experience working with people facing a diverse range of emotional and practical difficulties. I don’t impose labels or pigeonhole people and value the uniqueness of my clients and their points of view.

I offer a respectful, supportive relationship in which to work through things and I’ll always treat you as a person, not a problem or a puzzle to solve.
