Availability

Thanks for clicking on my profile, please email me with your availability, so I can accommodate you with a suitable slot.

I provide one-to-one support for people who have a range of mental health problems. My practice is a secure, safe and calm environment. I offer daytime and evening appointment, including phone and online counselling though Zoom and Whats App.

About me and my therapy practice

I am a trauma informed psychologist, a counsellor and a psychotherapist working with adults, adolescents, and children. I use a range of therapeutic models including Integrative, Gestalt, Psychodynamic, Mindfulness, Narrative Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.

I provide safe, confidential and professional psychological therapy which aims to help people to learn to listen and communicate better with their emotions, reflect on their experiences, understand patterns of thoughts and behaviors which may be problematic, and support themselves by investing on the voyage towards self-awareness and self-care.

My empathetic approach doesn’t involve judgments of any kind. My aim is to support individuals to explore and feel their emotions, even if that sometimes can be a bit painful, in order for them to be free from their problems, life events, negative thoughts, emotions, unresolved issues and stressful situations.

I prioritise respecting client’s autonomy in the choice of treatment, as every client’s need would be much different and complex than anyone else. That’s why a variety of different models of counselling, will be offered to them, in order to work with the ones that they feel right and match the needs of the individual.

Practice description

I have worked with a wide range of mental health issues and with different levels of severity and risk, in different mental health organisations and charities across the UK and Greece. I am currently working for NHS and I train fellow mental health professionals on how to work within an anti-racist and anti-discriminatory ethos. In the past I have worked for several years in mental health charities like Leeds Mind, addiction centers like Leeds Forward and KETHEA, Therapy Center for Dependent Individuals in Greece. I have also supported people with learning difficulties and disabilities in People in Action (Leeds) and have volunteered as a counsellor in the help line of Leeds Survivor-Led Crisis Service and in Greece as harm reduction worker in Positive Voice - Athens Check Point in order to raise awareness for AIDS and HIV.

My first session

The first session is always an assessment session. An assessment session is an extensive gathering of information of your personal life, family history and mental health, which gives you the space to express your needs for support and also offers me with an opportunity to assess the best approach treatment for you.
