About me and my therapy practice
I started life working with young people where I gained extensive experience of child development, as well as understanding many of the problems facing young people today. Later in life I worked with older people presenting with a variety of mental health issues which include addictions, dependency, loss, and bereavement.
Today I work not only with individuals but also couples. I recognise that relationships can be complex and as such often bring issues that can be difficult to navigate around. In therapy i offer a safe and none judgemental space where everyone has the opportunity not only to speak but also to be heard.
Choosing this profession was not a difficult decision for me as it was my own positive and personal experience as a client that led me to train as a person-centred therapist. I am passionate in my belief that everyone has the right to be their true selves, but I realise that on occasions this part of us becomes buried. Mostly we can manage life’s daily challenges, but I understand it can be difficult when we feel overwhelmed.
It’s important to choose a therapist who offers a non-judgemental and confidential space where you feel safe to unpack and explore emotions. Within my practice our therapeutic relationship will provide you with empathy, compassion, and acceptance.
Working together I can help you understand your thoughts and experiences better and so aid you in your personal growth and development.
As a person-centred therapist in today’s climate, I believe it is important to support those who otherwise would not have access to therapy. So, as well as my private practice I continue to volunteer within a local organisation offering bereavement support. Previous volunteer work has included working with those who have either a substance and or alcohol addiction

My approach to therapy is Person-Centred. I aim to offer a calm, honest and non-judgemental therapeutic space. As a result, my hope would be that you feel safe enough to unpack your feelings and concerns; increase yourself awareness and to move towards and reach your fullest potential.
