About me and my therapy practice

At times, we may find ourselves feeling stuck and uncertain about how to progress. This could stem from various reasons such as major life changes, loss, relationship or parenting challenges, anxiety, depression, or pivotal decision-making moments. It's common to feel unsure about the reasons behind this stuckness or unhappiness.

By reaching out for support, you've taken the crucial first step. I understand that seeking counseling can seem intimidating, but I can provide you with a safe, confidential environment where you can freely explore the obstacles you're facing without fear of judgment. Sometimes, all we need is someone to lend an empathetic ear.

I'm here to help unravel the complexities of your situation, empower you to establish boundaries, amplify your voice within relationships, and pinpoint your core values. Together, we can delve into what might be hindering you from achieving the future you desire and deserve.

ADHD is not just a professional focus for me; it's a passion that stems from my personal journey. Having navigated the challenges associated with my own late ADHD diagnosis and subsequently supporting my daughter through a similar experience, I've developed a profound understanding of the intricacies of this condition.

My commitment extends beyond clinical expertise; it's a genuine passion to help individuals facing ADHD-related challenges. I've been privileged to guide clients through the process of understanding and accepting their adult diagnoses, providing them with the support needed to navigate this unique aspect of their lives.

Additionally, supporting parents in their journey with children diagnosed with ADHD has become a focal point of my work. I bring not only professional knowledge but also a deep empathy born out of personal experiences, fostering a connection that goes beyond traditional counselling.

Practice description

I offer both face-to-face sessions from my garden office and remote sessions online or by telephone for your convenience.

My approach is integrative, tailored to your individual needs, drawing from various methods and techniques.

While counseling primarily focuses on the present moment, there are instances where exploring different stages of your life, including childhood or earlier relationships, can be beneficial. This helps identify patterns and obstacles that may be impeding your progress.

  • I am also a Bupa, Axa, Aviva, Cigna and Vitality-approved therapist.

My first session

Your relationship with your counsellor is unique and like no other. I believe it is important to spend some time to find someone that you feel comfortable and at ease with.

I offer a free 15 minute phone call, so that you can decide if I am the right person for you. There is no pressure within this to book a further session.

Sessions are 50 minutes and are usually on a weekly or fortnightly basis, we can discuss a mutual convenient time for us both.
