About me and my therapy practice

I hold in-person sessions at Phoenix Health and Wellbeing in Leeds on Wednesday's and in-person, online/telephone and outdoor sessions on the East Coast near Hornsea.

I offer 60 minutes of therapy to adults over 18 years and work on a sliding cost scale. Couples therapy sessions can last up to 90 minutes, if required. Appointments can be flexibly booked and sessions can be mix and match.

I am an Accredited Registered member of the BACP and adhere to their ethical framework for good practice. I have regular supervision meetings to guide my practice, expand my knowledge and ensure I am offering the best service possible for my clients.

Practice description

I am an Integrative counsellor, this just means that I will use more than one method of counselling to best suit my client's needs.

I understand that each client is unique, therefore they need a unique service to support them. I will encourage you on your journey of self-discovery and support you in overcoming your struggles in your everyday life.

The sessions both on the East Coast and in Leeds offer safe and confidential spaces, where we can sit together and give you the time needed to think about your feelings and emotions without judgement or criticism.

I also offer Outdoor therapy on the East Coast, if you find the therapy room intimidating or like being out in the fresh air we can take the therapy outside. I have rural paths and cliff top walks close by to offer a calming and meditative grounding experience.

My first session

When you come for therapy the first time I will encourage you to share your story with me so we can identify some sort of starting point, or gain some clarity about the issue you have brought.

I might explain how I will support you, through active listening to challenging your thought processes, ensuring you feel heard, understood and accepted.

We will sit together for a full 60 minutes and you are not obliged to book a second appointment there and then.
