About me and my therapy practice
Welcome to my page.
I am a fully qualified Psychodynamic therapist - some of the issues I help clients find resolution with are anxiety, trauma, addiction and relationship problems, amongst other things. I am qualified to work with Adults, Young People and Children. I am also undertaking further training in Psychosexual therapy so can work with these type of issues as well.
Through providing a trusting and honest relationship I can bring insight of the unconscious into awareness. This helps provide the tools to develop a better understanding of how the past impacts the present as well as resolving issues you might have with interpersonal relationships, defences, and emotions.
Thank you for taking the time to reach out, I know that it's not always easy to do. Choosing the right counsellor is an important decision, much bigger than choosing a pair of socks! I hope that the information on this page allows you to get a sense of me and whether we might be a good fit.

Practice description
For my private practice, I work online and by telephone as I was fortunate enough to develop my practice and undergo additional training when Covid-19 began and found this to be an accessible way of reaching clients. I have also found that sometimes people find it easier to talk about some topics when they are not physically in the room with you.
I am fully insured and a PVG scheme member for working with both Adults and Children.
I have worked for a number of voluntary and community organisations over the years including with clients affected by drug and alcohol issues and criminal justice matters.
The values I strive towards are warmth, inclusivity, honesty, understanding and congruence. I practice this in my commitment to continued personal and professional development, particularly with regards to cultural understanding and anti-racism. The ways that I do this are collaborating with people from marginalised communities and diverse heritages, reading and learning as well as from continued training.
Further information
I am a Counsellor Member of COSCA (Counselling and Psychotherapy in Scotland) and a Registered Member of BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy). My first session
I offer an initial 50 minute consultation (on Zoom) for us to meet, you to ask any questions and hopefully get a sense if we might be a good match together. This is charged at the same rate as a regular session with no obligation for you to return.

My sessions cost £55 and last 50 minutes. I see clients once a week and regularly review with them how they feel therapy is going.
I work with clients who may be struggling with issues relating to their sense of self, such as Depression, Anxiety or feel stuck due to Trauma, Addiction or are struggling with Interpersonal/Relational issues. I can also work with Psychosexual issues. Depending on the issue(s) and clients' preferences, I am able to work either short or longer-term.
