About me and my therapy practice
Are you struggling with life's challenges and searching for a way forward? I provide a confidential, compassionate space where you can freely express your thoughts and feelings. Whatever your concerns, we’ll explore them together, empowering you to make the positive changes you seek.
My training includes a Postgraduate diploma in Trauma Counselling, an MSc in Behavioural Science and a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling. I am an accredited member of BACP.
I work with adults of all ages and offer short or long-term work. I am based in Reigate in Surrey but, with also being online, I welcome people from all over. In order for counselling to be more accessible for those who seek support, I try to keep my rates low. I charge £40 per session online and £45 per session face-to-face.
To see if you feel that I would be the right counsellor for you, I offer a free 20 minute online consultation. Please note that I currently have flexible hours available during the week but am not available at the weekend.
Please do get in touch if you have any questions. I welcome all enquiries and treat them with complete confidentiality.
Practice description
I am an Integrative counsellor which means I am trained in more than one approach. You may come to me for help with anxiety, for example, and together we can work on techniques to help manage your anxiety using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). Or you may want to take the lead and explore your situation in your own way and, in that case, I will gently support you on that journey using the Person-Centred approach. The psychodynamic approach is a longer term process focusing deeply on childhood and working with the unconscious. This flexibility allows me to tailor our sessions to you as an individual and for you to get the most out of our time together.
In addition, I am qualified to work with trauma which enables me to recognise, assess and work with trauma more effectively, including single, complex and developmental trauma.
My first session
I offer a free 20 minute consultation session where you can tell me about what brings you to counselling and I can provide more details about how I work. There is no obligation for further sessions. Building a therapeutic relationship with someone you trust is a crucial part of the counselling experience and sometimes you may need to speak to a few counsellors before you find one that feels right. If you would like to continue, further sessions are 50 minutes long and usually take place weekly but timing can be flexible to meet the client's needs.
