About me and my therapy practice
We all experience difficulties in our lives, as a person who has dealt with and over come many personal difficulties and having dealt with mental health difficulties within my own family and as a mum, carer and neurodiverse person myself, I am a passionate advocate for mental health, empowering people to be the best version of themselves.Having gained inspiration and knowledge from Carl Rogers humanistic approach. I studied his work, securing a degree as Person Centred Therapist. I offer a on line confidential, empathic therapeutic relationship, psychologically holding you in a safe space, enabling you to feel accepted and carried for, assisting you to feel able to explore your feelings and emotions at your own pace, in a relaxed an environment as possible.
" We cannot change, we cannot move away from what we are, until we thoroughly accept what we are.
Then change seems to come about almost unnoticed".
Carl Rogers the founder of Humanistic approach of Person Centred Therapy.
Sessions are led by you, at your pace. Through our work together you may start to develop a better understanding of your self, different insights, and awareness of thought patterns, you may begin to feel a reduction in anxiety and gain greater self worth empowering you to seek a new way of being for your future.
Psychological growth may help you gain greater self awareness, acceptance, confidence and resilience.
I will work with you in a collaborative way, assisting you to over come your emotional difficulties, finding the courage to move your life forward, in a way that is the best way for you as a uniquely individual.

My first session
First session I understand some people may feel daunted by, if you haven't experienced counselling previously. First session are as much for you to assess how you feel we work together, you should't feel judged in anyway. If you do. I would urge you to find a therapist who you do feel you can connect with, as this is the most helpful for yourself in assisting you to gain therapeutic change. I will also touch on the subject of confidentiality and what is in place to support our session. it is also an opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have. I may also require a small amount of information from you to assist with the session, you don't have to answer anything you may not feel comfortable with.
