About me and my therapy practice
There are a myriad of reasons why you may be looking for a therapist. If this is your first time, the process can feel overwhelming as you look through various profiles to find the right person. You may be looking for someone you can identify with, who has the skills, knowledge and experience to support you at this time.
I understand how important it is, to be able to connect with your therapist. I work using an integrative approach, which means I use various therapeutic techniques tailored to your unique needs. No two people are the same, and what works for one person may not work for another. Therefore it's important to find out what works for you.
My area of expertise is working with clients who have experienced childhood sexual abuse, sexual violation, depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, PTSD and identity issues. My client group include adults, young people and their families at various life stages.
The distress you may be feeling could be related to a relationship, family, work, or other life challenges. I provide a safe place for you to work through any "stuckness" with patience and care. We will processs the emotional and mental burdens, and explore pathways towards healing.
I have had the privilege of working with people from different backgrounds. This diversity has shaped my practise and allows me to approach each client with openness, empathy and understanding.
Looking for the right therapist can take time. You are right to take your time. If you decide you want to work with me, it will be an honour to come alongside you, on your therapeutic journey.

Practice description
My approach is deeply rooted in empathy, kindness and respect. Although I am here to support you, I recognize that you are the expert on all matters concerning you, so I will be guided by you.
Our sessions will be a collaborative space where your insights and experiences lead the way. I will listen attentively and provide a warm, confidential, and non-judgemental environment where you feel safe. Together we will work towards your goals, at a pace that feels right for you.
I provide both short and long term sessions to suit your needs.
My first session
I offer a complimentary 15-minute introductory call. This call is an opportunity for you to share what has led you to consider therapy and ask any questions about the way I work.
Following this call you are welcome to decide if you would like us to work together.
If we agree to work together, I will ask you to complete an assessment form, and send you a copy of my working agreement.
