About me and my therapy practice
As an experienced therapist, I work with individuals and couples to navigate life's challenges. My extensive expertise includes specialization in areas such as pregnancy loss, bereavement, relationship issues, trauma, work-related stress, long-term illness, and cancer. I am dedicated to providing a safe and supportive environment where you can explore your feelings and find healing.
I offer online Couples Therapy. I approach couples' difficulties with a view that does not label them as pathological, and I see problems as an opportunity for psychological growth. The issues I address include:
- Conflict
- lack of support
- betrayal of trust and affairs
- relationship crises
- poor communication
- separation and endings
- unfulfilling relationship
- moving to mastery in a relationship where you can thrive
Being in couples therapy with me will allow you to experience personal growth through exploring your dysfunctional patterns and unconscious behaviours that trigger your partner, which you can then change to bring the best self in both of you. Or you might be able to find your voice and advocate for yourself. We will contain interpersonal conflict, and you will learn a new way of communicating where you can express your deepest emotions and find healing.

*assessment and goal setting when we will take time to reflect on your relationship and identify the key areas you would like to address in therapy
* diagnose the developmental stage in a relationship where you are stuck and the relationship type
* understand how your past contributes to relationship problems
*coaching in communication skills
* address differences
*work through relational and individual trauma
*address unresolved conflicts
As a counsellor, I offer honesty and respect and promise to treat you in a kind, caring, and supportive environment, regardless of race, gender, age, religion, or sexual orientation.
About Me
I am an accredited member of BACP, which means I work to the highest standards in my profession. In addition to my Level 7 Masters in Integrative Therapeutic Counselling, I hold a Certificate in Working with Couples accredited by the National Council of Integrative Psychotherapists. I am undertaking further specialist training in the Developmental Model with The Couples Institute (US). In my previous role in the IAPT, I worked with clients with issues of depression and anxiety, abuse, workplace and legal problems, chronic health issues, identity crises, and relationships and family conflicts. Presently, I work in the NHS as an oncology psychotherapist while maintaining a private practice.
I am originally from Latvia but have lived most of my life in the UK. I have worked in the NHS for 25 years in various roles which enabled me to develop the ability to connect with people from all walks of life, advanced empathy, and effectively oversee teams of people in my senior roles. As a midwife, I supported families through life-changing experiences of childbirth, trauma and child loss.
