About me and my therapy practice

If you are struggling at the moment due to external circumstances, stresses, worries etc. I am offering an opportunity to transform your sense of well-being and health with 121 counselling.  It is important to be proactive and choose to get support through the challenges and stresses of life be they physical, emotional or mental because these often can be the triggers for a chance to really look at our life and what we want to change as well as a chance to deepen our relationship to ourselves.  

It is hard to do this by yourself or with only friends and family for support and the safe, neutral and consistent container of the therapeutic space will create the best conditions to support his. Even though it can be difficult, having the courage to do the inner work and look honestly at ourselves can really support positive changes in our life.  

The heart of my counselling is person-centred and I will always follow the client lead as to their goal for the therapeutic work. My passion, however,  is to support the awakening of the authentic self.  We all have created distractions, defences, masks and personas in our life in order to cope with past traumas, challenges and beliefs about living in the world, these would have served us well at one point but if left running can create anxiety and depression or feelings of stagnation and dis-ease amongst other things.  I have witnessed people’s lives changing dramatically for the better when they have had the courage to look at these honestly with support.

Practice description

I am an integrative counsellor which means the core support is person-centred but I have been trained in a variety of strategies including CBT, gestalt, psychodynamic approaches which allows me to tailor the counselling to your needs and comfort levels and allows us to work on the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual levels.   I am able to offer a free half-hour assessment meeting via phone.

Face-to-face sessions at £75/session are available in: 

Queens Park W10 area at Re-mind the body therapy rooms, Kilburn Lane, W10 ( 5-10 mins walk from Kensal Rise overground or Queens Park tube) or 

West Hampstead NW6 area at West Hampstead Therapy Rooms, Iverson Road NW6 (a few minutes walk from West Hampstead Thameslink)

Online (Zoom) or phone sessions are £60/session.

A session is 50 minutes.

My first session

The first session is really getting to know you and what your goal for therapy is and what you would like to explore and the changes you hope to achieve.  We will explore the main issues and your story at your own pace.  I recognise what a big step it can be coming for counselling for the first time or with a new therapist so I will aim to go at your pace and comfort levels to this first exploratory meeting and will check in with you how you are experiencing it.   You are always able to say no if I suggest trying anything in this session or any subsequent sessions that dos not feel comfortable or you are not ready to look into yet.  There is an agreement sheet outlining the parameters of the service to agree to after the first session and chance to ask any questions first in the session if anything unclear or you are not in alignment with.
