About me and my therapy practice
I am an integrative transpersonal psychotherapist, which means I bring together many schools of thought, such as psychodynamic, humanistic, existential, and transpersonal. I believe each person needs to be recognised for the individual that they are, and therefore my integrative approach is tailored to the specific individual’s needs.
My style is sensitive, empathic and relational, while also honest in the quest for deep exploration, understanding and connection to inner wisdom. To help access this inner wisdom I often make use of a combination of talking therapy and creative techniques, such as visualisations, drawing or working with dreams.
I provide a safe, confidential, and non-judgemental space in which anxieties, fears, frustrations and sorrows can be expressed and explored. I have experience of working with a wide range of issues, including; depression, anxiety, shame, relationship issues, work-related issues, feeling stuck, low self-esteem & self-worth, feelings of not belonging, abuse and emotional neglect.
Practice description
I hold a research MA in Psychotherapy and Counselling and a five-year post-graduate diploma in Transpersonal and Integrative Psychotherapy from the Centre of Counselling and Psychotherapy Education (CCPE) in London. I also hold an LLB in English and German Law from King’s College London.
Previous work experience included working in Corporate Communications for 15+ years within agencies and in-house at legal and financial services organisations. Last position held was Head of Communications for Europe & CIS at a global financial services organisation.
Having worked in the City and other high-pressured environments, I have personal experience of the stresses and strains that those working conditions can bring.
My first session
I offer a brief initial phone call to help you decide if I am the right therapist for you. This is free of any obligation to continue.
Should you decide you want to work with me, the first session will be in the form of an initial assessment, which will allow me to gather some information on your background, make a note of admin details, as well as begin to explore your reasons for coming to therapy.
Sessions usually take place on a weekly basis with a regular day and time reserved for you.
