About me and my therapy practice
I am a qualified Humanistic Gestalt therapist, EMDR practitioner and Cognitive Behavioural coach working in the Eastleigh and Chandlers Ford area. I am currently offering both face to face and online sessions. I offer a calm, confidential and safe space within which we can explore and work through the difficulties you are facing.
I am experienced in dealing with a wide range of issues, including anxiety, stress, depression, loss and bereavement, low confidence, relationship and work problems, abuse, and trauma. I tailor my therapeutic approach to suit your needs and circumstances. This maybe through talking or using more creative methods, but this is always entirely up to you.
I offer EMDR therapy, which is helpful for people who have had significant adverse events or trauma and for phobias, but can also help with anxiety and depression. EMDR stops difficult memories causing so much distress by helping the brain to reprocess them properly, working with memory to heal the legacy of past pain
I also offer coaching to help you achieve personal, professional or health goals. Having worked in senior management position and a qualified accountant, I have a range of life experiences and a good understanding of the challenges and dilemmas that you maybe facing.
I have a passion for supporting people to help them achieve their goals.
Practice description
If you are currently troubled by unwanted thoughts, having difficulty getting motivated, or feel that you are not getting what you want out of life or relationships, then counselling, EMDR or coaching may be of benefit to you. I will help you understand what it is that you would like to be different in your life and how current circumstances or past experiences may be impacting on your present.
Counselling can also be preventative, you don’t need to wait until you are struggling, it can be part of your self-care and mental health maintenance.
My first session
As part of the first session I will ask general health and background information. I will also ask about your past history. This enables me to get a full picture of you as an individual and it gives you the opportunity to decide if I am the right counsellor for you.
