About me and my therapy practice
I am a fully qualified Integrative counsellor and hold a BSc. (Hons) degree in Psychology from the University of Liverpool.
My core model is Person-Centred Therapy and client led however, I also have knowledge of other types of therapy that can be drawn on to suit client’s individual needs. Each client is unique and having knowledge of different therapies and methods helps to achieve a positive counselling outcome.
I believe that the therapeutic relationship between the client and counsellor is key. Once in place, clients are able to explore issues with me that may be holding them back. I am warm and friendly, offering a confidential, non-judgemental safe space for clients to examine areas of concern in their lives.
As a member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP). I adhere to strict ethical guidelines and have personal supervision once a month. This ensures that my clients are getting the best possible treatment.
I have a history of volunteering for Age UK with the emotional health and wellbeing service, working with clients from age 17 upwards. My background is in the private sector. I offer face to face, video or telephone counselling, what-ever the client feels happier with.
