About me and my therapy practice

I am a qualified Counsellor with advanced Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Integrative therapy.  I offer a range of therapeutic approaches to ensure you are heard and the right support is offered. I hold the view that each person is an individual, so psychotherapy and counselling techniques are tailored to their individual needs and personal circumstances.

I am passionate about Psychotherapy and strongly believe in its capacity to heal and help people work through painful, traumatic and challenging life events. My aim is to provide you with safe, ethical and professional therapy, creating an opportunity for you to work through difficult issues in a non-judgmental and confidential space.


Practice description

Are you feeling stressed… suffering from depression or anxiety… or have you lost someone you care about? Are you feeling down or finding it difficult to cope at work?  These and other challenges are a natural part of life but can sometimes be difficult to manage on your own.

Counselling is not just for people who have mental health issues. It’s for anyone who feels stuck or is going through a tough time which they are finding difficult to sort out on their own.

 

I bring my experience of having helped other people in similar situations. But each person is different so it is important that I understand your needs and can respond in the best ways to help you achieve your goals. I have particular experience of helping people with anxiety and stress, helping to build resilience and working with those who are experiencing difficulties in developing their own resources to solve their issues.

 


My first session

Once you’ve booked an appointment, I will send you an email confirmation which will include my contact details for the call. I will call at the agreed time.We start with an initial consultation by phone, where I’ll explain how it all works and what to expect.During this free initial session, which lasts about 30 minutes, I’ll ask you to tell me a little bit about your current situation and what brings you to therapy.The initial consultation is not an actual therapy session; however, the purpose of the call is for me to understand your needs, preferences, motivation level and desired outcomes for therapy and for you to ask any questions and see if you feel comfortable working with me.

If we both decide that working together is going to be of value to you, we can go from there.I can book you in for a full Therapy session and I’ll send you an email after the call confirming our arrangements which will include a therapy contract.
